Freeze your leftover wine
Leftover wine? What's that? Suppose, for a moment, that someone happened to have a bit of leftover wine in the bottom of a bottle that they were not prepared to drink immediately. It is certainly possible, at least in theory. If you were that person, what would you do?
You could probably go ahead an pop a cork on it, but what if the cork didn't survive and you don't have an appropriate wine stopper? If you don't want to store a near-empty wine bottle, go ahead an pour the wine into an ice cube tray and freeze it. How many dishes can you think of that use a splash of wine? Now you have about a splash-worth of wine in a handy cubic form-factor. Alternately, you have a fun ice cube to keep your orange juice cold.
