Squeez Bacon® - April Fool's Joke to Reality in 10 seconds?

I'm not 100% down with the bacon-mania that permeates the Internet these days, but I am well aware of it. I'm also aware of the Internet's ability to turn people's musings (or mad ravings) into (often unfortunate) reality.

Thus, when ThinkGeek came up with Squeez Bacon® for April Fools' Day, my first thought was, that while it might be a joke today, it has better than average odds of becoming reality soon.

I like bacon and all, but I like crunchy, or at least chewy bacon. I can't imagine that bacon paste would be very appetizing for people. It would be an easy product to create, but I hope they don't go there.

I was very dissapointed to find out it wasn't real lol. The real thing has been made here: http://www.skilletstreetfood.com/baconjam.htm but I suppose it could just as easily be made by throwing some bacon, bacon fat and spices into a blender and letting it spin for a while.
